You will join a proud heritage of continually elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure and atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients.Duties & Responsibilities:Control manufacturing processes while reducing defects and enhancing productivity and product qualityUse Lean and Six Sigma tools to analyze process trend data and communicate issues using a data-driven approachIdentify opportunities for process and yield improvement projectsAnticipate potential issues before they arise by relying on prior experience and new industry knowledgeQualify and optimize processes and tooling via IQ/OQ/PQ, Gage R&R studies, process capability studies, and designs of experimentsWork collaboratively with peers on areas of engineering expertise while acting as an agent of change focused on improving technical skills and system knowledgeDevelop and maintain process documentation, including assembly procedures, test procedures, routers, travelers, BOMS, process flows, and process FMEAsParticipate in the investigation of non-conforming product and implement action plans for all internal corrective actions and audit findingsDevelop data systems for defect tracking and operator analysis, for process improvements resulting in yield improvementConduct root cause investigations that include product teardowns, X-ray or CT-scan analysis using advanced vision systemsApply working knowledge of dispensing processes with adhesives that are critical to component assemblyApply understanding of general properties of adhesives, such as, Loctite, Epo-tek, etc. which are critical to dispensability of the material.Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management levelResponsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and proceduresPerforms other duties assigned as neededExperience and Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline required; an advanced degree is a plus3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the medical device industry and/or cleanroom environment.Required Knowledge & Skills:Demonstrated knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiativesDemonstrated knowledge of Minitab (or equivalent) skillsDemonstrated ability with analyzing statistical parameters leading to quantifiable solutionsDemonstrated knowledge of FDA, QSR and ISO regulationsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience preferred.Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year.
