Opportunity for substantial courtroom experience and career growth Job Details Responsibilities Representing clients in criminal court proceedings, hearings, and trials. Conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and AI-assisted legal research tools. Drafting motions, memoranda of law, correspondence, and other legal documents. Preparing cases for hearings and trial by reviewing evidence, interviewing clients and witnesses, and organizing case materials. Developing case strategy and providing effective legal representation. Communicating regularly with clients regarding case status, legal strategy, and next steps. Maintaining organized case files and managing multiple active matters. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Active admission to the New York State Bar. Minimum of three years of experience as an attorney. Experience as a current or former Assistant District Attorney, Legal Aid attorney, Public Defender, or criminal defense attorney is required.
