Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a dynamic educational environment serving students from PreK through 8th grade. This contract position offers a six-month assignment beginning August 12, 2026, and continuing through approximately February 12, 2027. Take advantage of this opportunity to make a positive impact, collaborating with dedicated staff and supporting young learners in a full-time role (37.5 hours per week).
Key Qualifications:
- Certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapist, with experience or strong interest in school-based practice
- Solid understanding of pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in PreK-8th grade settings
- Ability to develop and implement appropriate intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and adaptive skill development
- Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with the school team
- Monitor and record student progress, updating plans as necessary
- Consult with educators and caregivers to create inclusive classroom strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to foster student success
