Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN
Medford Multicare | Medford, NY
$35–$38/hour | PRN

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Medford Multicare. This role is ideal for a PTA looking for scheduling flexibility while providing hands-on rehabilitation services that help residents improve mobility, strength, and overall function.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with strengthening, balance, gait training, transfers, endurance, and mobility exercises
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the therapy team
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and therapeutic exercises
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active New York Physical Therapist Assistant license required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered care
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply
