Responsibilities as a Tower Foreman include:

• Leading daily site construction work efforts
• Understanding and implementing MasTec Communications Group (MNS) Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies
• Understanding and implementing industry standards
• Ensuring safety requirements at your sites and with your crew
• Overseeing the daily operations and quality of work performed at assigned sites
• Maintaining daily paperwork required for the site and the crew
• Implementing and following through with job instructions provided by leadership
• Compiling all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort
• Uploading closeout documentation to customer interfaces
• Coordinating with the customer representative for site-related activities
• Providing leadership, guidance, and actively training/promoting learning to all crew members
• Always maintaining equipment and vehicles in an operational condition
• Validating daily timesheets for management
• Serving as a mentor to new, less experienced technicians

Qualifications include:

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day
• A track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• A knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
• Looking for long-term projects
• Enjoying getting your hands dirty with your team
• A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience
• Expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety, and general industry knowledge
• A working knowledge of safety standards and regulations
• Owning a WSA certification is a plus
• Job-related certifications, like First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR, and Connector attachment
• Organizational, computer, and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and SOW
• A valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company's policy conditions
• Ability to maintain FDOT log books (Training will be provided)
• Ability to lead, teach, and train proper work and safety procedures
• Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency
• Must be able to provide, record, and manage paperwork (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Must be fit and in good physical condition
• Must be able to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be capable of working up to 12 hours
