Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Gateway Autism Therapies and Education is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team and provide high-quality ABA therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

RBT certification is required for this position. However, if you are not currently RBT-certified, we still encourage you to apply! For qualified candidates, we can provide guidance and support to help you complete the RBT certification requirements before your employment start date.

Position Overview

The RBT will deliver evidence-based behavioral therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in clinic and home settings . Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) , the RBT will implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions designed to improve communication, social skills, independence, and adaptive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children ages 2–15
• Implement behavior intervention and treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA
• Collect and maintain accurate data and clinical documentation for treatment sessions
• Participate in ongoing training and BCBA supervision
• Attend team meetings to review client progress and treatment goals
• Follow ethical and professional standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, families, BCBAs, and other team members
• Maintain a consistent schedule and demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and professionalism

RBT Certification Requirement & Support

Candidates must be RBT-certified prior to beginning employment .

Schedule & Work Location

• Monday through Friday
• Must be available at minimum from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Services may be provided in clinic and home-based settings
• Consistent availability is important to ensure continuity of care for our clients

Physical Requirements

Because this position involves providing direct therapy to children in active treatment environments, employees must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation , including:

• Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and transition between sitting and standing , including working at floor level with clients
• Move quickly and safely as needed to follow, engage with, and support clients during treatment sessions
• Use hands and arms for reaching, grasping, handling therapy materials, and assisting with activities
• Safely lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed in the performance of job duties
• Assist clients with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living , when required by the treatment plan
• Maintain the physical ability to respond appropriately to client behaviors and safety situations
• Perform repetitive movements and remain physically active for extended periods during therapy sessions
• Have sufficient visual and auditory ability, with or without assistive devices , to observe clients, collect data, and respond to the treatment environment
