Experience: 3+ years
Compensation: $260,000–$365,000

A leading Am Law firm is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its Complex Commercial Litigation group in Chicago . This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with at least 3 years of broad-based litigation experience from a top-tier law firm or comparable experience as a federal judicial clerk .

The ideal candidate will have substantive experience handling high-stakes commercial disputes through all phases of litigation , including:

• Pleadings and motion practice
• Written and document discovery
• Large-scale e-discovery and discovery strategy management
• Expert development and coordination
• Taking and defending depositions
• Trial preparation and courtroom support
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions
• Coordinating matters in Illinois state and federal courts

Candidates should bring:

• Strong case management and organizational skills
• Excellent legal research and writing ability
• Superior analytical and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Experience working independently while collaborating with litigation teams
• Active Illinois Bar admission
