A rewarding contract opportunity is available for experienced school-based social workers to support students in vibrant educational environments near Philadelphia, PA. Contribute your skills and compassion in either a middle school or elementary school setting, providing essential services to foster personal and academic growth for students.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 37.5-hour workweek. The assignment runs onsite through June 10, 2027, with two positions open—one at a middle school academy, and another at an elementary arts school.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a school-based social worker is required
• Active MSW license in Pennsylvania
• One of the following credentials:
  • Valid, active PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate (required to obtain an emergency permit), OR
  • LSW or LCSW, with current enrollment in a PDE-approved social worker program
• Ability to secure all required PA clearances
• Willingness to work confidently in an urban school setting
• Must disclose intended district placement prior to interview
• Comfortable with a Zoom interview format

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect social work services to students and families
• Collaborate with educators and interdisciplinary staff to create supportive learning environments
• Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individualized student support plans
• Document and report in compliance with school and district guidelines
