As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front‑lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. What you’ll do Be a Team Member: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (e.g., taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience; model high‑quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have. Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory to prevent out‑of‑stock and over‑stock situations. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.
