About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst with a focus on capital management and financial planning for its risk-bearing entities. This role is pivotal in the company's mission to modernize the specialty insurance industry, and the successful candidate will be at the forefront of this transformation. Key responsibilities include owning capital adequacy modeling, maintaining and developing loss reserve models, and leading underwriting profitability analysis. The role demands a high level of analytical skill, independence in driving capital adequacy analysis, and the ability to translate complex outputs into clear insights for senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance capital modeling, statutory finance, or a closely related function, and will be expected to grow with the role, taking on expanded responsibilities as the company's operations mature. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years' of experience in insurance capital management, ERM, actuarial finance, or statutory FP&A. Deep familiarity with insurance capital frameworks and hands-on experience with AM Best's BCAR model are essential. The role requires advanced financial modeling skills, expert-level Excel proficiency, and the ability to operate independently in a remote, fast-moving environment.
