Assistant Guest Services Manager

Assistant Guest Services Manager – Chatham Bars Inn Position at Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five‑Star resort located on the shores of Chatham, Massachusetts. Responsibilities Ensure that Forbes Preferred Hotels and AAA, and CBI’s policies and procedures are properly understood and followed among the staff. Ensure proper training for the Bell and Valet staff by coaching and monitoring progress. Handle guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully. Ensure that the CBI Service Standards are continuously refreshed, maintained and used effectively. Cooperate and coordinate teamwork with other departments. Create and maintain scheduling for proper staff coverage and ensure that employees are coded correctly in ADP. Assist Guest Services Manager with all paperwork related to the Bell/Valet department. Monitor and track guest arrivals and departures and organize storage and amenities for guests and groups. Ensure the use of the guest’s names by the Bell and Valet staff by using training techniques. Work alongside the staff to ensure quality service for guests. Maintain daily cleanliness of hotel transportation and guest vehicles and order supplies as needed. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Guest Services Manager. Ensure and maintain a very high standard of personal hygiene, behavior and grooming standards among staff. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience. Previous front desk or guest services experience preferred. Superior customer service skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to multi‑task. Strong attention to detail and organization. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work closely and cohesively with other department managers to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. Able to stand, walk, and move quickly as needed for an entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs of luggage. Flexible with schedules. Compensation $26.50 - $27.00 per hour.
