Perform repairs on industrial equipment, which involves dismantling machinery, replacing defective components, and reassembling them to working order. Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and integration with existing systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, prepare reports on equipment performance, and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies. Experience with MaintainX software program is a plus. Utilize fabrication skills, such as welding and cutting, to repair or create metal parts required for machinery maintenance. Ensure all maintenance work complies with established safety procedures, regulations, and industry standards. Assist in training production personnel on the proper operation and basic preventive maintenance of equipment to foster a collaborative work environment. What you must have: Education:Industrial Maintenance Technicians who have completed a certificate or associate’s degree program in industrial maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field from a community college or technical school is a plus. Experience : Industrial Maintenance Technicians acquire their skills through a combination of formal education and on-the-job training. Prior experience in a related field, such as machinery operation or general maintenance, can be beneficial. The role requires a diverse skillset, including proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and industry control software. Skills Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Troubleshooting:This skill involves diagnosing and debugging the complex control systems that automate machinery. Technicians use specialized software to analyze ladder logic and identify faults within the system, ensuring that automated processes run accurately and without interruption. Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Analysis:Technicians utilize advanced diagnostic tools, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis, to monitor equipment condition in real-time. This allows them to forecast potential failures and schedule maintenance proactively, preventing unexpected downtime and extending machinery lifespan. Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA):Beyond simply fixing a broken part, this skill involves a systematic investigation into why a failure occurred.
