Tennis & Health Club Front Desk Staff (part-time) The below position is part-time and does not include benefits aside from accrued hours per the Paid Time Off For All Workers Act. Position Summary This is part-time work supporting the daily operations of the Park Forest Tennis & Health Club. Work involves greeting and assisting members, managing program and court reservations, handling transactions, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment at the Club's front desk. Staff provide excellent customer service, assist with program inquiries, and help maintain smooth operations. This position reports to the Tennis Club Manager and is reviewed for results obtained. Position Accountabilities Greet members and visitors, providing courteous and professional customer service. Manage court reservations, program registrations, and facility rentals using software systems (e.g., ActiveNet). Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about club services, memberships, and programs. Process payments for memberships, court fees, lessons, and programs; reconcile transactions as required. Maintain front desk area cleanliness and organization, ensuring it reflects the professional standards of the Club. Support staff and instructors with scheduling, forms, and communication needs. Monitor member check-ins, enforce club policies, and assist in resolving issues. Assist in light administrative tasks, filing, and data entry. Perform related duties as assigned. Position Qualifications/Skills Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members, staff, and the public. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; experience with ActiveNet preferred). Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be at least 18 years old. Critical Mental/Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to handle transactions accurately and securely. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with light facility tasks as needed. Working Conditions Work is performed primarily at the Tennis & Health Club front desk and office area.
