Responsibilities The Registered Nurse—Same Day Surgery will provide direction to professional and non-professional clinical personnel in providing direct patient care. Qualifications Associate degree in nursing Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as an RN in a hospital or an ambulatory surgery center Active and current NJ State professional Registered Nurse license BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care ACLS (obtainable within the first three months of employment) Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, and perform EKG (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment) Position requires fluency in the English language to function in the job environment appropriately.
