Contract | Onsite | Available shifts include 7a–7p, 7p–7a, 3p–3a, and 5p–5a | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation (A & B schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 19-bed Emergency Room with 3 trauma bays, managing a patient ratio of 4:1
• Assess, triage, and treat a high-volume patient population of approximately 70–95 patients per day, including cardiac, GI, psychiatric, COPD, and respiratory illness cases
• Manage ER holds intermixed within the department, maintaining continuity of care for held patients
• Perform or coordinate phlebotomy draws and collaborate with radiology staff for portable X-ray and CT imaging needs
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac strips independently, as no monitor technicians are on unit
• Utilize the Paragon EMR system to document and manage patient records accurately

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, evenings, and every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department setting
• Familiarity with Paragon EMR
• Experience managing psychiatric patients and working in environments with dedicated psych/seclusion room protocols
• Comfort with triage processes; triage experience is a plus, though not required
