Title: IT Director

Duration: Permanent

Salary: $70,000 + great benefits and PTO plan

Location: 8000 S Education Dr, Terre Haute, IN 47802 - 100% Onsite, Terre Haute, IN (main campus with occasional travel to a nearby secondary location)

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3-5+ years of IT leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience managing IT operations, infrastructure, and end-user support
• Strong people management experience with direct reports
• Experience with budgeting, asset management, and technology planning
• Knowledge of Active Directory, networking, wireless systems, VoIP, and information security
• Experience managing technical projects from initiation through completion

Plusses:

• Higher education IT experience
• Experience leading IT support in a multi-site environment
• ITIL or service management experience
• Experience with enterprise desktop management tools
• Process improvement and change management experience

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an IT Director for a top higher education client. This individual will lead all onsite technology operations for the Terre Haute service area, overseeing infrastructure, support services, project delivery, and a small IT team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on technical expertise, leadership experience, and strong customer service skills. This role is highly visible within the organization and will partner closely with campus leadership to drive technology initiatives, manage daily operations, and support long-term strategic goals. An overlap period with the retiring IT Director will provide valuable knowledge transfer and onboarding support.

• Oversee all IT operations for the Terre Haute campus and nearby satellite location
• Supervise and develop a team of 2 IT employees
• Serve as the primary IT leader for campus stakeholders
• Manage hardware, software, and technology assets
• Support budgeting and technology expenditure planning
• Oversee help desk operations and service delivery
• Lead IT projects and strategic technology initiatives
• Support networking, security, telecommunications, and desktop technologies
• Ensure high levels of customer service across the campus
• Partner with leadership to improve technology services
• Complete knowledge transfer with the retiring IT Director during the overlap period
