Legal Assistant/Case ManagerLaw firm seeks full-time legal assistant/case manager. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred, but not required. Location: Weslaco, TX Responsibilities / Duties:Daily interaction with clients, attorneys, insurance companies, doctors, medical office staff, etc.Request and gather medical and billing recordsDraft and review demand lettersManage cases, administrative duties, and calendar important deadlinesConduct research and analyze casesFollow up with clients on a consistent basisMeet with supervisor monthly to discuss status of all managing casesAssist attorney with preparing file for litigationElectronically fax case documentsMust be able to work M-F from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PMAttend to other paralegal/legal assistant duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail, follow procedures and work effectively with othersDue to constant interaction with others, must be customer-service oriented and present a professional imageDemonstrate leadership ability and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential client informationKnowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine and computerProficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProactive results-focused work ethicMust be on time to work, dependable and reliableAt Hinojosa Law, we believe in giving our clients the truth about where their case stands.
