Medium Voltage Switchgear Assembler

Job Summary We are looking to add a Medium Voltage Switchgear Assembler located in Fontana, CA. The role reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assembling fabricated metal parts for switchgear cabinets according to specifications. Responsibilities Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings. Manually assemble components for switchgear cabinets using power and hand tools (drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.). Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm assembled products meet specification and quality standards. Identify product defects; record and report them accordingly. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and parts at workstation. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 0‑2 years of related experience in an assembly or manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately. Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management. Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams. Basic math skills for technical specifications and measurements. Basic understanding of tools (tape measure, impact drill, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency operating powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, overhead crane, etc.). Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time. Must possess manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed. Must have excellent hand‑eye coordination. Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components. Must wear PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range: $18.59 - $25.10 USD (California).
