Physician - Heart Failure - Royal Oak

Position Overview As an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, you will be a key member of a developing team, working to provide high quality HF care via an inpatient consultative service, outpatient clinic, and procedural work including right heart cath, vasodilator studies, pulmonary artery sensor implantation, and endomyocardial biopsy. Participation in other procedures such as left heart work and imaging studies may be discussed in alignment with training and documented skills. Key Services Advanced heart failure care, teamwork, LVAD and transplant shared care, program development Anticipated Role / Scope Deliver both inpatient (consultative) and outpatient clinical services with plans to develop a dedicated inpatient HF service and a future LVAD program. Perform procedures including right heart catheterization, vasodilator studies, pulmonary artery sensor implantation, and endomyocardial biopsy. Focus on teamwork and collaborative care with medical, surgical, nursing, and administrative colleagues locally and across the Corewell system. Opportunity to educate and mentor cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical school students. Engage in clinical research to advance the field of advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in general cardiology, with additional certification in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Passion for education, research, and mentorship. Unrestricted medical license – Michigan MD/DO. Unrestricted DEA license.
