Inspire creativity and artistic growth in students as an Art Teacher for the upcoming academic year! This contract role places you onsite in a supportive school environment, working full-time hours from September through June. You'll have the chance to foster a love of the arts, encourage self-expression, and help students discover their talents in a welcoming, collaborative setting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active New York teaching license clearly showing ART endorsements/certifications
• Experience teaching general education or art curriculum in school settings
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Passion for helping children or adolescents explore and develop creativity
• Ability to adapt lessons to varying ages and skill levels
• Enthusiastic communicator focused on student engagement and growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction in-person
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where students freely express themselves
• Develop lesson plans and activities that foster a love for visual art
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual development
• Collaborate with other educators on interdisciplinary projects when possible
• Participate in school events and contribute to the broader creative community
