Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with New York State Art standards
• Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
• Assess and document student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Encourage creative thinking and problem-solving through a variety of artistic media
• Collaborate with other educators and contribute to schoolwide artistic initiatives
• Organize art displays and participate in school events that showcase student work
• Ensure a safe classroom environment, maintaining supplies and equipment

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New York State Teaching License with current Art endorsements/certifications (required)
• Experience teaching art in an educational setting preferred
• Familiarity with diverse artistic techniques, mediums, and digital tools
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to fostering an open, respectful, and creative learning environment
