Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-FT-DAY, KCC Minutes from Monterrey and Carmel on the coast! Our client is a 25 bed Critical Access not for profit hospital centrally located in California. Minutes to wine country and over 300 wineries. What's in it for you? Day shift 4 10 hour shifts Compensation - "$156,000.00 - $206,310.00", depending on experience. CME - $3,000.00 per year Sign-On Bonus - $5,000.00 - $7,500,00 Relocation Reimbursement - negotiable Paid Time Off – 29 days/year to start 4 x 10 hour/shifts, 3 days off per week Low healthcare premiums Health coverage – begins the 1st of the month following start date The Family Nurse Practitioner provides services to clinic patients following adopted clinical protocols under the supervision of licensed physicians. The Family Nurse Practitioner will follow current treatment protocols for the services to be provided with assistance and consultation from the clinic physicians. The Family Nurse Practitioner assumes personal responsibility and accountability for decisions regarding initiation of, or changes in, treatment of their patients with guidance from their supervising physician. Requirements Qualifications Education Completion of Accredited Nurse Practitioner program Skill Requirements Ability to communicate effectively. Licensing and Certification Requirements Diabetes Specialty Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), credential must be completed within 2 year from hire or at the completion of providing 1,000 hours of patient diabetes education Experience in nutritional and diabetes counseling and education Strong skills in assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional, lifestyle, and educational needs of patients and program participants General NP requires Current License as Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with the Board of Registered Nursing in the State of California. Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program of study which conforms with the Board’s educational standards set forth in the California Code of Regulations Section 1484 for California graduates only. OR Current certification by one of the following boards: the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board or National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Current AHA BLS certified Current AHA ACLS certified (if submitting privileges for inpatient setting) Physical Demands Must be able to sit and stand/walk for 12 hours per day.
