Under the direction of the Training Research Manager, this position provides management consulting services to improve criminal justice information capabilities and operational procedures across the CJIS Southern Service Area (Broward, Dade, Martin, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties). The consultant works with local, state, and federal agencies to assess information needs, develop policies and procedures, and assist with data collection and program implementation. The incumbent must reside in one of the five counties and travel up to 25 percent of the time. Key qualifications: Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods and basic management principles Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop recommendations and solve problems Ability to work independently and communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to organize data and develop professional documentation and reports Knowledge of criminal justice information systems and compliance requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
