Senior Business Analyst

Business AnalystThe Business Analyst’s job purpose is to review, analyze, evaluate, and document business systems and user needs. Assist with developing technical solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project and communicating them to stakeholders and facilitators.Essential Functions:Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutionsDevelop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures and quality standardsAnalyze business data to define and evaluate problems, and recommend software/hardware solutionsAssist in the collection and consolidation of information and data required for project delivery and develop project requirementsDefines project requirements by identifying project milestones and phasesEnsure solutions meet business needs and requirementsPerform Quality Assurance testingCoordinate final testing with users and verify IT systems satisfy user’s requirementsInterviews internal Subject Matter Experts to understand work functions and processes and gather informationWrites detailed procedure documents based on discussions with process ownersDevelop materials to document operational end-to-end process flowsHelp design, document and maintain system processesTroubleshoot and resolve simple inquiries and requests from internal and external clientsJob Classification: Business AnalystDivision/Department: OperationsReports to: Director of Business AnalysisProvides Direction to: N/AFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDate Prepared: 5/1/2023Qualifications GuidelinesEducation/Training:Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experienceExperience/Certification:A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis or a related fieldKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent documentation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skillsExceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skillsStrong experience in user testing and project managementCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent planning, organizational and time management skillsEnvironmental Conditions:The employee regularly works in an office environment and accesses production areas to communicate with supervisors and employees. Within the office, the noise level is frequently quiet or moderately quiet. The employee also occasionally works in a warehouse to pull stored files. Within the warehouse, the noise level is frequently quiet or moderately quiet. The employee has extensive internal and external interfaces with others.Physical Conditions:The essential functions of this job require frequent sitting and occasional standing for prolonged periods of time. Sensory demands require the ability to constantly hear and talk, both in person and by phone, and the ability to use a computer, calculator, and standard office equipment. Specific vision acuity required by this job includes close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Physical demands include bending, stooping, and reaching above and below shoulder level to access records, as well as lifting and carrying files and documents typically weighing less than 25 pounds.
