Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Extended Care employee is responsible for leading a high quality before and after school program that provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 3-13.

Start date: August 2026
Flexible hours, Monday- Friday, 2:30-5:30pm and 3:30-5:30pm. No weekends, holidays or summers.

Duties Include:
* Overseeing the care of children in preschool through 8th grade after school.
* Assisting the directors with activities.
* Follow St. Wenceslaus policies as well as DHHS licensing requirements.
*Supporting children during daily activities, transitions, and dismissal.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge of age appropriate practices for children ages 3-13.
*Ability to work collaboratively with directors and other staff.
*Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy after school setting.
*Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to maintain professionalism and positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Education and Experience
*Must be 18 years old
*Experience working with children is preferred.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Must be dependable, self-motivated, and organized.
*Willingness to follow St. Wenceslaus policies and DHHS licensing requirements.
