Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessment tools and observation techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that address both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing adjustments.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance progress outside of clinical environments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless transitions in the continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements within the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
