Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients ranging from children to seniors using various assessment tools and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment strategies to accomplish both immediate goals and achieve ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing advancements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work closely with a team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, and family members to develop seamless treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress between sessions and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as necessary, ensuring comprehensive care during the recovery process.
• Ensure all documentation is precise and completed promptly in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain updated on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
