Senior Accountant

Accounting PositionResponsible for general accounting that involves the preparation of statistical data and financial reports concerning profits, cash and inventory. Perform accounting duties that include assisting with trial balance and other financial reports. Work is routine with some difficult situations requiring investigation. Scope of position will include a wide range of difficult problems. Follows established procedures and best practicesKey Roles And ResponsibilitiesReconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balancesPreparing financial statementsAssessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areasAssisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analysesMaintaining and reconciling fixed asset schedulesAssisting with the initial internal control evaluationsReviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entriesPerforming account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accountsSafety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.Education And Experience (Minimum Qualifications)BS - Accounting RequiredCPA/CMA PreferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood organization skills1-3 years related experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentHighly driven - self starterSalary Range: 70K-105K
