Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an Associate Project Management/ Project Management to join the Operations Project Management team supporting Production. The position requires on‑site support located in Palmdale, CA . This dynamic role works directly with the production IPT to manage shop floor constraints, in‑house part fabrications, section readiness reviews, and project management of schedules impacting the IPT. Assess project risks/issues and provide mitigation strategies by developing mechanisms that monitor project progress. Execute work release orders that mitigate baseline requirement impacts to production. Provide insight on change execution and work with the functional teams to compile lessons learned. This is a highly visible position that works directly with Production Leadership. Associate Project Management (Level 1) Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment; Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors; Experience leading projects; Must have an active in-scope DOD Secret security clearance that has been granted/renewed within the past 5 years; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program access. Preferred Qualifications (Associate Project Management) Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience; Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing/production; Current Special Program Access. Project Management (Level 2) Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment; OR a Master's Degree with 1 year of project management experience; Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors; Experience leading projects; Must have an active in-scope DOD Secret security clearance that has been granted/renewed within the past 5 years; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program access. Preferred Qualifications (Project Management) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or similar; Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience; Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing/production; Current Special Program Access. Compensation Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
