Job Overview Position Title: Lecturer – Psychology – College of Letters and Sciences Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Lecturer Start Date: August 2026 (half‑time) Key Responsibilities Teach two graduate courses per semester in the School Psychology Program, including Academic Assessment and Progress Monitoring, Intellectual Assessment, and other relevant courses. Supervise student practicum placements and applied research projects. Collaborate on curricular changes and program innovations. Deliver instruction in in‑person, online, or hybrid formats, including evening courses. Ensure all instructional materials are digitally accessible and use standard technology platforms such as Canvas, Google, and Microsoft Office. Facilitate classroom, online, or laboratory instruction, assess student performance, and develop instructional design and curriculum for courses. Act as the initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations. Conditions of Appointment University of Wisconsin‑Whitewater does not offer H‑1B or other work‑authorization visa sponsorship; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and maintain work authorization throughout employment. Required Qualifications Education Specialist (Ed.S.) Degree in School Psychology from a NASP‑approved/accredited program. At least two years of full‑time experience as a school psychologist, National Certification (NCSP), and licensure or license‑eligible status in Wisconsin. Evidence of potential for effective teaching with emphasis on promoting graduate student success and student‑centered high‑impact practices. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated record of effective teaching. Demonstrated commitment to principles of inclusivity and socially just practices that promote equitable educational outcomes for children. Experience assessing and supporting culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Knowledge, skills, and abilities that respect diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
