Title: Buyer II – Defense & Aerospace

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: 5-month W2 contract, with potential for permanent hire
Schedule: 9/80 work schedule | Day shift

Work Authorization:

This opportunity is open to U.S. citizens only due to applicable defense-industry requirements.
Candidates must be able to work onsite in Torrance, CA, three days per week.

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Buyer II to support procurement and supplier management activities within the defense and aerospace industry. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Oracle, CPSR, and DCMA requirements, along with a strong understanding of government procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage procurement activities, sourcing, and supplier selection.
Prepare and evaluate RFQs, RFPs, and supplier proposals.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions.
Conduct cost and price analysis and evaluate supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CPSR, and applicable DCMA requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records and audit-ready documentation.
Collaborate with program management, finance, and other cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in defense, aerospace, or government contracting.
Hands-on Oracle experience required.
CPSR and DCMA experience required.
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement compliance.
Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable U.S. citizenship requirements for defense-related work.
