As a Consultant, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic partner to assigned business areas, aligning HR solutions with organizational goals, delivering people solutions that drive business performance, engagement, and inclusion. You’ll develop and lead key initiatives that enhance organizational performance, foster talent development, and elevate the associate experience. You’ll understand business strategies and goals so you can drive initiatives that promote a high-performing, inclusive culture. This role partners closely with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and key stakeholders to offer strategic partnership, critical thinking, leading projects, data analysis, organizational change, and talent growth.******Job Description******## Key Responsibilities:* Serves as a trusted advisor to mid-level business executives, shaping, supporting, and delivering HR strategies that align with business-specific goals.* Provides insights and coaching to address moderately complex challenges and enable informed decision-making.* Partners with business executives and leaders to foster a workplace culture rooted in Nationwide’s values, creating inclusive and meaningful associate experiences.* Assess talent needs and support leaders with succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.* Builds cross-functional partnerships to align HR programs and tools with business priorities.* Provides guidance on HR policies, practices, and programs, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.* Leverages knowledge of the business and industry to develop and deliver integrated and connected solutions that help drive business results by focusing on key talent initiatives.* Creates and implements workforce and succession readiness plans that attract, grow, develop, retain top talent in collaboration with business executives, leaders, and COEs.* Leads change initiatives that drive transformation, equipping leaders with effective communication strategies and plans to engage and guide teams.* Uses data, metrics, and insights to anticipate workforce needs, shape people-centered business solutions, influence decisions, measures results, and identify areas of potential risk.* Ensures responsible, ethical, and compliant HR practices align with regulatory and reputational standards.* Maintains high levels of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive business information and organizational matters.May perform other responsibilities as assigned.## Reporting Relationships:Reports to Director or Senior Consultant or Director, Human Resources Business Partner. This is an individual contributor role.## Typical Skills and Experiences:Education: Undergraduate studies in human resources, business administration or related field, along with professional HR certifications, preferred.**Experience**: Five to eight years of diverse HR experience. Generally, has in-depth experience in one or more HR technical areas.**Knowledge, Abilities and Skills**: Proven ability to advise strategically, champion culture, enable talent, and support change while maintaining confidentiality. Skilled in consulting, coaching, and influencing across various levels. Strong understanding of business strategy, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Experienced in contributing to projects, setting priorities, and using workforce data to identify trends, influence outcomes, and implement effective solutions.Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.**Values:** Regularly and consistently demonstrates the Nationwide Values.## ## Job Conditions:Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
