We’re seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Montgomery County Homeless Services team at Todi’s Place of Hope in Lansdale, PA .

Todi’s Place of Hope provides a safe place to stay and supportive services for single adults experiencing homelessness , helping individuals work toward permanent housing and independent living. The program is a partnership between Your Way Home, Montgomery County’s Office of Behavioral Health, and Resources for Human Development .

Clients have access to dedicated caseworkers who assist them with finding permanent housing, applying for necessary benefits, and overcoming barriers to stability. The program also provides practical supports such as meals, laundry facilities, clothing, transportation, and essential life skills training .

As a DSP, you’ll be an important part of creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while helping individuals take meaningful steps toward greater independence.

What You’ll Do

As a Direct Support Professional , you will:

• Provide compassionate, person-centered support to adults experiencing homelessness.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals staying in the program.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and practical life skills that promote greater independence.
• Work alongside caseworkers and other program team members to support individuals as they work toward permanent housing.
• Help individuals access community resources, appointments, Social Security services, benefits, and other essential supports.
• Provide transportation to individuals when required.
• Support individuals with practical needs, including meals, laundry, clothing, transportation, and daily living skills.
• Provide care and support using a trauma-informed approach .
• Encourage healthy, safe, and socially appropriate behaviors.
• Assist individuals with building skills that can help them transition toward more independent living.
• Complete required program documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow applicable incident management and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff, caseworkers, and community partners to support individual goals.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and respect for the dignity and individual needs of every person served.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation in English
• Basic computer and internet skills, including the ability to use email, timekeeping systems, and other required applications
• Ability to successfully complete applicable employment screenings and clearances
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with individuals from a variety of backgrounds

Preferred

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Previous experience in human services, homeless services, behavioral health, residential services, community support, or direct care

Schedule

We are currently hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals for multiple shifts at Todi’s Place of Hope in Lansdale, PA.

Available Full-Time Schedules

Position 1 | Overnight Shift

• Sunday through Thursday
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position 2 | Day Shift

• Sunday through Thursday
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Position 3 | Evening Shift

• Sunday through Thursday
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Position 4 | Day Shift

• Tuesday through Saturday
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: $16.50/hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and climb steps as required
• Ability to drive a vehicle as part of job responsibilities
• Ability to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
