Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers – Mechanical Design to support switchgear manufacturing operations at our Henrico, VA facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, sheet metal, and switchgear systems, with hands‑on experience using AutoCAD and working to UL891 standards. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for switchgear systems Create and modify 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD Support manufacturing processes with design‑for‑manufacturability (DFM) considerations Work with sheet metal designs, including enclosures, panels, and structural components Ensure designs comply with UL891 and other applicable industry standards Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and production Review and update engineering documentation, BOMs, and drawings Provide engineering support during production, testing, and troubleshooting Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) Proficiency in AutoCAD Hands‑on experience with switchgear design Solid knowledge of UL891 standards Experience with sheet metal mechanical design Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience preferred Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing, Industrial Machinery Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Location : St Paul, VA | Salary : $70,000.00-$85,000.00 #J-18808-Ljbffr Intellectt Inc
