Senior Claims Examiner - General Liability

Responsibilities Provide expert claim handling in areas of coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex third-party bodily injury and property damage claims. Conform to best practices in claims handling by timely investigating and evaluating liability and damages. Analyze policies and review relevant contracts to explore risk transfer strategies and priority of coverage. Draft appropriate coverage position letters. Set timely indemnity reserves after conducting thorough investigation and evaluation on liability and damages. Proactively negotiate claims towards resolution. Manage expense reserves and engage in resolution strategies to obtain cost-effective results. Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers and timely advise underwriting of various losses. Perform other tasks and duties within the claims department as dictated by business needs. Qualifications Experience handling general liability, property damage, and/or bodily injury claims. Solid planning and organizational skills, including time-management and prioritization. Five to seven years of claims handling experience, primarily handling general liability claims preferred. Willingness to obtain adjuster’s license in all states requiring licensure. Willingness to occasionally travel. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,000-$140,000 + discretionary incentive bonus and benefits dependent on various factors including performance.
