Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant, reporting to the Corporate Controller, is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting as well as developing and maintaining appropriate accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and good internal controls. The successful candidate will have solid GAAP knowledge, be strategic and hands-on, have good communication skills, and will manage a small team within the accounting organization. Strong collaboration, strategic thinking, interpersonal and communication skills are required. This position will play an important strategic role in our fast-paced, rapidly expanding company.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of monthly management accountsDevelop and implement procedures and processes to better enable an efficient, accurate and timely month end closeEnsure proper accounting for technical accounting areas such as stock-based compensation, leases, debt, revenue recognition under ASC606, under GAAPPartner effectively and proactively with Human Resources and Legal to prepare payroll, tax and equity related entries.Review monthly account reconciliationsAssist in the documentation and monitoring of internal controlsAssist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirementsAssist in annual preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for annual auditAssist with research in technical accounting for cryptocurrencySupport Corporate Controller with ad hoc requestsRequirements:BA/BS degree with a strong academic record; CPA is a bonusProficiency in ASC 842, including experience in reviewing contracts and applying the codifications on GL reporting3+ years in accounting experience (5 years preferred), public accounting background preferred (minimum of 3 years)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Total compensation will be determined based on several factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, competencies, and location. At Together Labs, base pay is part of a larger design.
