This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking for evening hours in a fast-paced warehouse environment where your work directly supports independent grocery stores and the communities they serve throughout the Midwest.

As a 2nd Shift Order Selector, you will help prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently while working as part of a team-focused operation committed to service and reliability.

Job Summary

The Order Selector is responsible for filling customers' grocery orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.

Essential Job Functions

• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is shipped
• Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms
• Tag or mark orders as requested
• Repack orders when necessary
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
• Stock product in pick slots
• Conduct physical inventories as required
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Meet company standards for productivity
• Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy

Equipment

• Operate powered lift trucks in performance of order selecting duties when required
• Conduct safety inspections on any equipment used
• Used of hand-held computers / scanners and voice-enabled computers

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

• Knowledge of warehouse procedures
• Knowledge of stock rotation procedures
• Ability to read and write legibly in English
• Ability to count accurately and do simple math
• Must be capable of standing, walking and climbing stairs for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of climbing, stooping and kneeling
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 80 lbs
• Ability to operate machinery
• Ability to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
• Ability to pay attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds occasionally (75-100%)

Work Environment: Ability to work in an operational environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment movement when applicable. (75100%)

Safety Requirements: Must comply with all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in operational areas. (75100%)
