Position Details Role: Experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7–8 hour days, with rotating Saturdays so you have most weekends off. We’re looking for a full-time Experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our fantastic team. You’ll work 7–8-hour days, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays rotate, so most of your weekends are your own. There are no on-call shifts or holiday hours. Variety from working at the front desk and alongside the medical team Occasional coffee runs and meals on us What Our Veterinary Receptionists/Assistants Do Welcome clients and their pets warmly and create a positive experience from the moment they arrive Answer phones, schedule appointments, and help clients with questions Check clients and patients in and out efficiently Process payments and keep client and patient records accurate Relay messages and coordinate with veterinarians and team members to keep the day running smoothly Help with prescription and food requests according to hospital procedures Assist the medical team with exam room support and patient care as needed Help safely handle and restrain patients during exams and procedures Keep the reception area, exam rooms, and treatment areas clean, stocked, and organized Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, including during emotional moments Support your teammates and pitch in wherever needed Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.
