Director of Development

Director Of DevelopmentSaint Thomas More Catholic School in Brookings, SD is looking to fill the newly established position of Director of Development. This position promises to be integral to planning for the growth of our School and future expansion. Responsibilities include setting and achieving fundraising goals and endowment growth, as well as the oversight and management of current fundraising events. As a newly created position, the Director will be charged with establishing categories for growth, setting priorities, system building, and processes. Our preferred candidate is a Catholic in good standing with some development experience, adept at strategy and planning, experience with campaign and event management, ability to galvanize and manage volunteers, and familiarity with print, digital, and social media. Training will be offered to ensure the Director's success. We foresee this as a very flexible, part-time position with some periods of intensive effort, especially around major fundraising events.
