Key Responsibilities Cultivate Trust & Deepen Partnerships: Nurture existing customer relationships within the assigned territory through warm, consultative outreach combining intentional in‑person travel with consistent phone contact. Collaborative Problem Solving: Listen deeply to client concerns and build thoughtful solutions; act as a customer advocate, collaborate with internal teams, and make meaningful recommendations to management. Empowered Solution Design: Prepare comprehensive sales proposals by aligning pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to meet the customer's operational needs. Market Intelligence & Advocacy: Stay attuned to the marketplace by gathering insights on product trends and merchandising techniques, ensuring clients have access to the best options available. Team & Operational Support: Maintain a structured weekly plan, share with the District Manager, and occasionally support the team by assisting with counter sales in a backup capacity. Expand expertise in customer service excellence and advanced problem‑solving techniques. Hands‑on learning in welding and gas product applications, giving confidence to tailor presentations, demonstrate product features, and explain technical uses clearly to diverse audiences. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of prior outside sales/service experience. Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening, and presentation skills. Self‑starter; self‑motivated, operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently. Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills. Must be able to operate in a drug‑free workplace. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas / welding supply sales is a plus. Detailed understanding of Google, MS Office Applications, and SAP functionalities. Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
