Position Overview
Maison Tara is seeking a highly organized, polished, and service-driven Front of House Manager to oversee client-facing operations across our events and catering services. This role is critical in ensuring seamless execution, exceptional guest experience, and strong team leadership during all events.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings a refined eye for detail aligned with luxury event standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Execution & Guest Experience
- Lead all front-of-house operations during events, ensuring flawless service and presentation
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and guests on-site
- Maintain Maison Tara’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and aesthetics
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues quickly and discreetly
Team Leadership
- Manage, train, and supervise front-of-house staff (servers, bartenders, captains)
- Conduct pre-event briefings to align team on service style, timing, and client expectations
- Ensure staff appearance, demeanor, and performance meet brand standards
Operational Coordination
- Collaborate closely with kitchen, production, and event planning teams
- Oversee event timelines and ensure smooth coordination between back and front of house
- Assist with floor plans, service flow, and staffing logistics
Client Relations
- Support client interactions with professionalism and warmth
- Uphold Maison Tara’s reputation for high-touch, personalized service
- Communicate client feedback to leadership for continuous improvement
Inventory & Setup
- Oversee setup and breakdown of events, ensuring accuracy and care of rentals, florals, and equipment
- Monitor front-of-house inventory (glassware, linens, service equipment)
- 3–5+ years of experience in hospitality or event management (luxury events preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Calm under pressure with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience in catering or high-end events in NYC
- Knowledge of fine dining service standards
- Familiarity with event rental coordination and floor planning
