Front of House Manager

West Village restaurant Capitaine seeks a professional, hard-working and capable manager to join the team.

A seafood tavern, of sorts, Capitaine is the newest restaurant and bar from the team behind Libertine and Chateau Royale, occupying the former Libertine space in the West Village. Inspired by the great seafood restaurants, oyster bars, and wine and cocktail bars of New York, Paris, and London, Capitaine celebrates all things maritime and beyond through a lens that is at once casual, convivial, and quietly elegant..

Ideal candidates:
- have great passion for hospitality
- are strong in communication, organizational and problem solving skills
- have 1-3+ years in a restaurant management position

- experience with Excel and Resy

- have experience in and/or passion for wine, whether as a server, steward, sommelier, or beverage manager (natural wine is a plus!)

- possess a positive and collaborative attitude
- are reliable team players
- are always ready for a challenge and to constantly learn and improve
- have experience with a high level of restaurant service

In this position, under the direction of the General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the partners as a sort of representative or ambassador throughout the dining room. You will adhere to the standard operating procedures for service and aid in keeping the restaurant running efficiently and cleanly.
