Sr. Staff Medical Science Liaison in Genetic Disease Testing and Reproductive Health, US

Illumina seeks a Senior Staff Medical Science Liaison with expertise in genomics and reproductive health to serve as a scientific resource for key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and researchers. The role involves evidence-based scientific exchange, relationship building with external stakeholders, and support for research initiatives in genetic disease testing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as field-based scientific resource and trusted partner to KOLs, healthcare professionals, and researchers in genomics
  • Develop and maintain expertise in genomic technologies, translational research, and emerging scientific evidence
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with external scientific leaders and stakeholders
  • Collect and communicate scientific insights from external stakeholders to inform Medical Affairs strategy
  • Support scientific exchange at congresses, advisory boards, and investigator meetings

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or genetic counselor certification) in relevant scientific discipline
  • Clinical laboratory experience strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in genomic technologies and genetic disease
  • Knowledge of reproductive health and precision medicine applications
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and medical affairs compliance
