Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist for a 12-week maternity leave during the upcoming school year. Located near scenic Ponte Vedra Beach, this on-site role offers the chance to work in an engaging educational environment and play a key part in students’ daily lives. The full-time position spans 37.5 hours each week and offers a dynamic, itinerant schedule, likely serving multiple campuses. Start in August and contribute your expertise where it’s needed most—there’s also the potential to begin earlier with the district’s extended school year program.

What you’ll bring:

• Active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Familiarity with various age groups and ability to adapt to evolving student caseloads
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with both staff and families
• Completion of fingerprinting, with accelerated processing for valid prints in the AHCA Clearinghouse; prompt JLA badge application required

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality physical therapy services to students across multiple school sites
• Evaluating, planning, and carrying out therapeutic interventions to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals
• Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
• Maintaining detailed and timely documentation as required by district and state guidelines
• Traveling between locations as the itinerant PT for the covered schools (assignments to be confirmed)
