Med/Surg Registered Nurse

A hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse to join its inpatient nursing team on the night shift. This is an on-site clinical position providing direct care to adult patients across the medical-surgical unit.

The Med/Surg RN delivers direct nursing assessment, planning, and intervention for adult patients spanning a range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The night shift nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide safe and coordinated patient care throughout the unit, ensuring continuity and quality across every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and identify changes in clinical status
• Develop and implement individualized care plans across varying diagnoses and acuity levels
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout each shift
• Uphold patient safety standards and follow established medical-surgical nursing protocols

Qualifications

• Canadian citizenship required
• Minimum of one year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
