Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy – After School Program Director (Part‑time) Job Summary The After School Program Director will oversee the daily operations of the after‑school program for children ages 3‑10. Seeking a positive, kind, responsible person to lead an enriching program that reflects our Montessori culture, includes outdoor experiences, fosters cooperation and connection, and provides exemplary care for young children. Responsibilities include program development, ensuring safety and compliance with childcare regulations, fostering relationship‑based leadership, and collaborating with parents. Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with children, preferably in a school or community setting. Understanding of child development principles and best practices in after‑school programming. At minimum a bachelor’s degree in education, child development, social work, recreation management, or related field. First aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
