Salary: $300,000 annually

Gather Health is seeking a Center Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight for our primary care center. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including provider mentorship, utilization management, quality improvement, and operational excellence.

\n

Working closely with organizational leadership, you'll help shape clinical strategy while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture built on our Social Primary Care model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the primary care center
\n
• Deliver high-quality, relationship-based patient care
\n
• Mentor, coach, and develop physicians and advanced practice providers
\n
• Lead provider training and promote evidence-based clinical practice
\n
• Oversee utilization management and care optimization initiatives
\n
• Drive quality improvement and performance metrics
\n
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and operational decisions
\n
• Foster a collaborative, patient-first clinical culture

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics
\n
• Active Massachusetts medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
\n
• Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
\n
• Demonstrated leadership and provider mentoring experience
\n
• Experience with EHRs and healthcare technology
\n
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
\n
• Strong ethical judgment and professionalism
\n
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for older adults in underserved communities
\n
• Leadership experience in primary care or value-based care
\n
• Experience with utilization management and quality improvement

• Provider training and mentorship experience
