Business Development Director I, Early Drug Development

Labcorp seeks a Business Development Director for Early Drug Development in crop protection and chemicals. This field-based sales role focuses on building client relationships, achieving territory sales targets, and promoting environmental and safety testing services across the U.S. West Coast and Central regions.

Responsibilities

Achieve annual sales plan and revenue targets for assigned territory and accounts
Establish and nurture client relationships through meetings, proposals, and site visits
Identify and prioritize prospects using available tools and market information
Develop account plans, manage opportunities, and forecast pipeline activity in Salesforce
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and subject matter experts to identify and win multi-unit projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5+ years selling scientific products/services to crop protection, chemical, or biotech segments
Direct experience engaging mid-level and executive decision makers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
Strong client engagement, relationship-building, and customer advocacy skills
Working knowledge of crop protection and chemical industry
Ability to articulate competitive differentiation and value proposition

Compensation: $80,000–$120,000
