Description Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, Oregon Full Time/Day Shift The Senior Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results and in-depth technical/theoretical knowledge of instruments and methodologies. The Senior MT/MLS performs complex QC, troubleshooting, and maintenance duties with minimum supervision. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists. Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Association of Bioanalysts. Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Upon hire: National Laboratory Technician – United States Government. In compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) criminal background check and fingerprinting may be required for the position, based on assigned duties. This applies only to positions at PPMC operating the blood irradiator machine. 5 years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
