Futsal Coach

Location: Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided)

Position Overview

Superb Futbol Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Futsal Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coaching competitive futsal and/or competitive club soccer , with a strong understanding of how futsal can contribute to technical development and overall player growth.

The Futsal Coach will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging training sessions that emphasize ball mastery, close control, quick decision-making, combination play, creativity, and tactical awareness in a fast-paced environment.

Increased pay negotiable with coaching licenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead high-quality futsal training sessions focused on technical and tactical development.
• Develop players' ball control, passing, receiving, dribbling, finishing, and 1v1 abilities.
• Teach futsal-specific concepts including movement, spacing, rotations, transitions, pressing, and defensive organization.
• Use small-sided games and game-realistic activities to develop creativity, decision-making, and composure under pressure.
• Prepare players and teams for futsal leagues, tournaments, showcases, and competitive events.
• Provide individualized coaching and constructive feedback to support player development.
• Foster a positive, competitive, and challenging training environment.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, confidence, creativity, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate professionally with players, parents, and club staff.
• Collaborate with Superb Futbol Club coaches to integrate futsal principles into the club's overall player-development pathway.
• Represent Superb Futbol Club professionally at practices, games, tournaments, and club events.

Required Qualifications

• Must have previous experience coaching competitive futsal and/or competitive club soccer.
• Strong understanding of futsal fundamentals, tactics, and player-development methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop youth players.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an energetic, positive, and competitive training environment.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Passion for futsal, soccer, and youth player development.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and motivate players of varying skill levels.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and comply with club safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching competitive youth futsal.
• Previous experience coaching club soccer, particularly at the Youth Academy, U12, or U14 level.
• USSF, United Soccer Coaches, or recognized futsal coaching certification.
• Competitive futsal or soccer playing experience at the club, collegiate, professional, or equivalent level.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of futsal and how the game can accelerate a player's technical ability, decision-making, creativity, confidence, and tactical awareness .

The coach should be energetic, knowledgeable, patient, and demanding while creating an environment where players are encouraged to take risks, solve problems, and develop their individual style of play.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, teacher, and role model who is committed to using futsal as an important component of the Superb Futbol Club player-development pathway.
